There is much to describe in this world of LAI, this is such a multi-faceted company and we all cross into other places of influence besides our own positions here. But, I will try and narrow what it is that I do down. My exact title is a Property Acquisitions Associate; I handle short sales and foreclosures. We have helped so many people keep their homes and the ones who needed to get from underneath their home, we sold it for them. It is so nice to take a call from someone at the end of their rope, then be able to help them out of that situation and give them a fresh start.
There are many in this industry who do similar things to us. Some of them we work with and are great people of integrity and we keep each other on our toes. The rest, and most, I hate to admit it, are crooked and greedy without morals. Business is business and profit is what drives working, but success without integrity isn't worth the trip to the bank. Well, I have to get back to work now, for more information about us, visit www.LAIUSA.net.

productivity..
Well, today is a lovely Thursday morning on the East Coast. I am currently less than 3 miles from the Atlantic and in my office. The blinds are pulled up and there is sunshine hitting every nook and cranny of my office. I have the lights off, because brightness is good, but natural light is so much better.
I am the person, you know the one, that lives outdoors. I am not exactly sporty, but I am either in the garden or outside as much as I can be. I have a beach chair and towel in my car just waiting for a break from paperwork and a few moments in the sun. I took out the trash today in the office just as an excuse to walk outside, and that it needed to be done. If it wasnt for a lunch appointment, I would be outside at this moment. I think all board meetings should happen picnic style in a park, or even in the grove right beside the office. It would be more productive except for those of us with ADD who would be distracted by everything that moves outside.
I guess the point of this blog is to mention work place environments. Not necessarily the individual things that determine the workplace, but as a whole. I happen to like my office environment. Great co-workers and boss, walls and doors that keep people out when I am in the 'Zone' and can't be interupted because I have found that perfect work mode, windows with trees and the horizon. More than anything else, your mindset determines your productivity and your environment.
Make it work for you.
